Long and deep explanation about Hilton Kuching's CNY offers
So yea, yesterday I, Mr Foodie, posted our first blog post with a super small intro welcoming y'all to our simple ol' blog that talks mainly about our travels and food indulgence. And to begin with, I posted a teaser to what's coming today - my CNY food experience at Hilton Kuching's Toh Yuen Chinese restaurant.
Well folks, today I shall reveal further what's in store for all you Lunar New Year celebrants and fans of Oriental cuisine in Toh Yuen's CNY offerings...

Time for some delicious CNY eats!
A DELICIOUS sponge cake with glaze on top! |
Now that Mr Foodie has got that out of his system, yes folks, it is that time of the year again when the Chinese all over the world anticipate the coming of the Lunar New Year. And for the chefs in various Chinese restaurants all over, it's busy busy busy time again for them as they try to squeeze out as much creative juices as they can out of their brains (if you catch the drift) to come up with brilliant gastronomic creations to try to entice the ever-discerning taste buds out there... including Mr Foodie (hehehe...)
With all that said, Mr Foodie's first sampling of what will be on offer from various restaurants around the good ol' city of Kuching was at the nice ol' Chinese restaurant at Hilton Kuching, aptly named Toh Yuen. Aptly? Mr Foodie doesn't event know what the name means. But in any case, Mr Foodie is sure that the name carries a very nice meaning... So there you go... that's Mr Foodie's reasoning behind the decision to use the word "aptly" in the sentence above. (Hah!)
Anyway, Mr Foodie is typing out this post in a hurry because Mr Foodie is so darn eager to go back home after a long day at work. So Mr Foodie isn't gonna go long and deep about what's on offer at Toh Yuen for diners this Chinese New Year... Not yet anyway!!! That Mr Foodie is gonna do tomorrow... and after he's done with the texts, he's gonna put in some more photos for you to feast your eyes on (and perhaps drool too?).
So with that said, feast your hungry eyes on the simple yet luxurious-looking - and pretty delicious - butter cake, smothered all over with a not-too-terribly-sweet glaze and sprinkled at the top with edible silver beads!!!
Check back tomorrow for more on the CNY offerings at Toh Yuen. Mr Foodie over and out!!!
